I was worried. Many Crossbridger’s were telling me that they would be out of town during Christmas. This was our first Christmas eve service as Crossbridge so, I wanted it to be a meaningful time of worship and reflection on the Gospel truth. Marcus had put in a lot of time into the Lessons & Carols liturgy so, I didn’t want it to be a fiasco. To our surprise, even though many were missing, we had a huge turn out. We had a full house and it was indeed memorable. We had 9 readings and just as many carols. Each reading was done by a different member of our body with the intent of telling the love-rescue story of God. The carols were interwoven into the Story and we celebrated by coming to the table. Even the unexpected pyro-technical incident at the end (while we sung “Holy Night”) was memorable. Those who were here know what I’m talking about. If you missed it, go ask ‘em… they’ll tell you all about it:-)
