The Difference | “Experience”

During the next 6 weeks we will be reflecting on the life of 3 individuals that were used by God to bring change to the world around them. Their stories were first told to encourage the people of Israel whenever they were found in a tough/hostile environment. They were testimonies that God used ordinary people for the common good and allowed the ungodly to see Him at work through them.

We ought to be about Gospel sharing because we believe that the gospel is the only power capable of changing the world for Jesus. In essence, the city can only be changed by changed lives.

Join us this week as we look at the life of Joseph and explore how he was an agent of change by God first changing him.

In the beginning of 2010 we launched a vision called FOCUS ONE, a vision for the entire Crossbridge community that we’d be camping-on for the entire year!

The FOCUS ONE is:

ONE life focused for ONE year on ONE message, to make a difference in ONE city, through the life of ONE person.

This God-dream birthed out of the desire and longing we have to truly see the gospel become REAL to us in the the way we live our lives and in-turn find its way into someone else’s life. You see, that’s what authentic Christianity is all about;  this is the kind of stuff we hope we never grow beyond! You see, an understanding of what God has done FOR and IN us, can’t help but to fully live in lieu of what God wants to do THROUGH us. Here we go again, from now on till December 2010 we’re together yielding and FOCUSED on ONE thing. That is our sermon-series for the remainder of the year, we hope you’ll join us, invite everyone  you can so that together we can continue to press on towards becoming the church God wants us to become here in the city.

Focus One has been an intentional thought for me all year. Thank you for Focusing us to do this!!

Last night I had dinner with a neighbor, For over two years I have prayed for her. She has now moved out of Miami but we continue to meet when she is in town. We have lots of conversations but usually I feel she is closed to the Gospel… until last night.
She and her husband have recently been invited to a small group BS by old friends. I think the “old friends” have become Christians! My neighbor is going to the study and last night we had our first fully engaged conversation about Jesus and forgiveness!!

Let’s do Focus One in 2011 also! :-) love you all so much! DP
