profile_felipeassisLead Pastor | Felipe Assis was born in Brazil but has spent about a third of his existence (as a toddler, as a child and as an adult) in America. He has earned a Th.B from Seminário Presbiteriano do Norte and an M.Div from RTS – Charlotte. Felipe planted his first church, Igreja Presbiteriana Curado 4 at the age of 18 and has recently come from five years of church planting in Recife – Brazil where he and wife Beth founded Comunidade Memorial. Beth and Felipe have  two daughters Analisse (4) and Zoe (3).

Activities: Preaching, Vision casting and Leadership development.

IMG_4448smCreative Pastor | Marcus Assis was born in Philadelphia, was raised in Brazil and, has lived in South Florida for over a decade. Marcus attended Palm Beach Atlantic College where he earned a B.A. in Music Performance and is currently finishing up his M.Div at Knox Theological Seminary. Marcus has served as a worship pastor to various churches and is a gifted song-writer and producer. He is married to Jussane Assis and together with whom he has a four year old son named David Abner.

Activities: Leading and crafting worship, Arts (19|1), communications, outreach and, occasional preaching.

n500927232_2187559_5219306 Connection Pastor | Sam Miranda was born in NYC but moved to Miami at an early age. Sam and his wife Tiffany are the proud parents of Austin and Caitlyn. Sam has served in full time ministry since 2001 as a youth and worship pastor but has recently decided to shift his ministry focus to community life. He joined the Crossbridge staff in the fall of 2009 to oversee the growing number of groups and the connecting ministries of the church.

Activities: Community groups oversight, assimilation, family ministries and volunteers.

:: elders

Elders at Crossbridge share three main responsibilities; Policy-making, membership and theological oversight.

Jorge “Jay” Reynardus is the devoted husband of Tania for 17 years, and father of Jo (14), Kristine (12), and Hannah (8). He is an attorney in a large multinational corporation, the Teaching Leader for the Miami Men’s BSF class, an Elder and the youth director for the church.

Erik Williams is a Miami City Director with the College Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ.  Erik is originally from South Carolina, studied Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech and worked at several manufacturing plants before being called by God to reach college students.  After joining staff with Campus Crusade for Christ, he was assigned to the University of Southern Mississippi where he met and worked with his wife, Renee.  Erik and Renee have lived in Miami since 2001 and have 3 children: Katelyn (5), Bryce (3) and Asher (1).

Bill Solms is a Labor & Employment attorney with the firm of DeMahy Labrador Drake Payne & Cabeza located in Coral Gables. Bill grew up in Mexico City, moving to Miami in 1966. After graduation from Vanderbilt he married Marianne and then plunged into law school at Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, AL graduating in 1974. After a short period of active duty with the U.S.Army, he returned to Miami to practice law and raise a family. Bill III (34) and Lorianne Marsh (31) are their grown children; each has a baby daughter, Leia (3) and Betty (3) blessing them and their grandparents every day.

Rev. Dr. Cesar Vega serves at Crossbridge as an Elder. He and his wife Edie have been serving with The Navigators for 43 years, leading ministries on three military bases, as well as the campus ministries of the University of South Carolina, and the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras. During the last twenty years, we have helped pioneer The Navigators’ Hispanic ministries in the USA and Cuba. My current ministry out of Miami, FL is Eastern Region Field Leader, which entails coaching and mentoring our younger staff and providing leadership for The Navigators’ Hispanic ministry, NavVida.

[ Diaconal Resources ]

Peter Thompson was elected Deacon in the spring of 2009 and currently serves as Chair of the Diaconate. He and his wife Barb also lead the Pinecrest II community group at Crossbridge. Peter Is Treasurer for Del Monte Fresh Produce Company in Coral Gables.

Camilo Perez was born in Cuba, came to Miami with family at 11 years old. At 18 years old he joined the U.S. Navy and live in San Diego for 8 years where he met and married his beautiful wife Lupita. In 1985 moved back to Miami to work in real estate as a Realtor.  Camilo and Lupita and the 3 children (Lizbeth 21, Veronica 19, & CJ 18,) now attend crossbridgechurch where Camilo serves as a Deacon.

Glaucia Horwarth is a native of Rio de Janeiro — Brazil, a mother of two (Gabriella and Joseph) and, a psychiatrist who’s married to another psychiatrist. Her and Ewald are passionate about Jesus and serving people.

Harry Chatterdon is a Miami native that has worked in telecommunications with Bellsouth for 30+ years.  They have two grown daughters (both graduates of Westminster Christian School) who are now married and have children of their own. They are thankful to see Crossbridge Church growing as the gospel of Jesus Christ is proclaimed and lived  by the members.

Robert Hale has been a missionary with Wycliffe Bible Translators and Mission to the World (PCA) for almost 20 years. He moved to Miami from Chattanooga, TN when he was 10 years old. Robert earned a BS in Biology from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg and an MA in Bible from Columbia International University in South Carolina. Robert and his wife Debbie with their 4 sons (Micah – 24, Matthew – 19, Jason – 17, Jonathan – 14) spent 13 years overseas, including 11 years in West Africa. Currently working stateside, Robert still makes trips to and oversees projects in 10 different countries in West Africa. Robert & Debbie are proud grandparents to Esther Grace Hale – born to their oldest son Micah and his wife Grace in Dec. 2008.
